We have had some wonderful guest speakers for the month July and want to thank each and every one of them for taking the time to come to our meetings and share their stories and knowledge with us.
Our Exchangites have been a great group and really show their support for the causes that we get involved in and I would like to thank each and everyone of them.
We had our Annual Golf Tournament which will was held on June 27, 2009. This is our major fundraiser which allows us to assist the children in Jesup who may need our help. We had a wonderful turnout. We appreciated everyone, business and personal who sponsored one of our holes for the tournament. Congratulations to our winners of the Tournament, however, the true winners are the children we are able to help because of our great community supporting our Tournament and other fund raisers.
We had our Annual Banquet wherein we installed our new Officers and Board Members. We also inducted a new Exchangite into the club. Our new President is Ray Moore, President-Elect is Jeffrey Griffith, I will stay on as Secretary and our Treasurer is Joy Courson with our Treasurer - Elect, April Duncan. We had a wonderful entertainer by the name of Todd Horne to perform durnig our Banquet.
We gave our two students, Bakari Height and Tori Dixon their Scholarship money, $1,000 each and Tori was presented with the A.C.E. Award plaque and a check for $500 from our Club. I am very pleased to say that I was voted as Exchangite of the Year, this is something that I will treasure.
Lastly, we would like to thank Ann Grantham for being such a super President throughout 2009 and Sheila Hill for doing a super job as Treasurer, and we are very lucky as a Club to have both of them as members. Thank you!!
We are excited to be able to share our activities and photos with everyone and we will continue to update this site on a weekly basis. Thank you for taking the time to read our monthly newsletter.
